A hero, 'Cause everyone is.

For one of my very first drag shows ever, I had to perform at the "Jam" - a night club in Akko (Acre) in the north of Israel; Akko is the place I was raised in as a child.
The song called "Heroes" by the amazing Eurovision song constant's winner Conchita Wurst, it meant  a lot for me to perform in Akko since I've never been accepted in there for being an Arab gay guy.

"I dreamt I was a queen in a crimson roadA lion with a crown of dust and goldSomeone shut you down and your blood went coldBaby can you wake up, baby can you wake up againSo don't let goWe can be so beautifulListening to the sound of silence"

One of the first childhood memories I have from being in Akko is when I was about 6 years old, I remember I always played with dolls and girls, until one day I went inside my parent's bedroom, opened their closet and took out my mother's wedding dress to try it on; keeping the dress from your wedding is mostly an old tradition in the Arab's culture to "Keep it in mind" as the happiest dress a woman can ever wear.
Not Getting Married Today
(Me as Karma Sutra)

I was so excited about trying my mother's wedding dress on, I went out running to show it to all the girls in my neighbourhood and I was shouting "I am a princess!".
My mother reacted very badly for what she is seeing, I got punished for almost a week, and yet wearing this dress was the very first happy memory I have from my childhood.

"

So let the walls come down
And the colours light up the sky

We could be heroes, we could be heroes, tonight
And when the hearts break loose and our love is like a battle cry

We could be heroes, we could be heroes, tonight
"
So I'm not wearing a wedding dress in my performing for Conchita's song, But, yet it is a night I felt a hero, felt free, it is a night I will never forget.
